Sleep Dreams

Lester Holt and Jenna (forgot her last name) on NBC were talking about their dreams in a vry winsome way. Newscasters not able to find their notes. I often dreamed about inability to find a certain Bible reading for the day with everyone finally giving up waiting and walking out. Recently I dreamt of a tree dividing about three feet up with two large branches and a slab of concrete between them. First I thought that would make a nice lawn seat and then I thought that isn't a grave is it. Haven't heard much about Freud's interpretation of dreams lately think it was that they are suppressed desires or wishes. Would this be something to blog about or suppress?

Blog about!

And since you bring it up, I'm no Freudian, having started out with Erich Fromm back in high school--but I'm willing to take a stab it.

Let's see: tree. Gotta be life, right? Two branches: one is your faith, and the other, your family. Concrete is solid--makes for a solid foundation, generally, if I'm not mistaken. So, there you go. As life goes on, you have a solid foundation to rest on.

So...not sure what you're worried about, but you shouldn't be! Well, not so much, anyway...

Hey! I just googled Erich Fromm, since I was just reminded of him. Wikipedia says, he studied at the University of Heidelberg, where he switched from jurisprudence to sociology under Alfred Weber--brother of none other than Max Weber!

Now, take me--I studied sociology, and my favorite sociologist to study was, Max Weber! After that, I switched to jurisprudence. Coincidence? You tell me...

And if that isn't enough, apparently he was the only son of Orthodox Jewish parents. And I've heard it said, my dad says, we have Jewish blood in the family!

I'm starting to feel a mystical connection to Erich Fromm...

Fanny Mendelsohn Hensel would be proud of both of you but don't tell your Grandma Klatt. Anyway, I heard that Fanny did some finer compositions than her brother Felix. You musicians could find it and put it on U-tube but not for Roosevelt wiktel processing. Shalom!

"Inception" the current hit movie is supposedly about dreams. Haven't seen it, in fact hadn't even heard of it, but have heard a number of people talking about it.

I'll tell Mom. We both have early morning dreams.
